Specials issue about TINNETA special issue about TINNET just appeared in the international magazine “ENT & Audiology News” with a series of articles about TINNET. The main focus of these articles is to showcase the recent activities of the EU COST Action TINNET programme across Europe, but tinnitus-related activity led by two key charities is also presented. Thanks a lot to Deborah Hall, who has guest-edited this special issue: ENT & Audiology News, 2016; 24 (6):p.71-100.

neuroimaging workgroup meeting in PoznanOn October 16, 2015, the Neuroimaging Working Group (WG 3) met in Poznan, Polen. The group worked on standard guidelines for the data acquisition using EEG/MEG and fMRI in tinnitus patients. Furthermore, it was discussed about a questionnaire for the assessment of mindwandering during the resting state recordings.

The guidelines and questionnaire will be published on this website.

Tinnitus Matching SoftwareDuring his Short-term scientific mission, Dr. Jaime Serquera, developped a first prototype for a tinnitus pitch matching procedure under Matlab using a forced-choice double-staircase adaptive procedure.

The code is freely available under: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/53129-fcds

Trying to find a balance between user-friendliness and scientific accuracy, there are only a few buttons in the GUI. The remaining paramters can be changed in the code.

Any feedback that will improve further versions of the software are welcome. Please send it to Dr. Serquera (jserquera "at" yahoo.es).
